@Nicias Smith thats the point... it was meant to be half the price of those cards but with great rtx performance, it out performs the 2060 S which is $500-$600 more (if the price wasn't inflated

I managed to find a 2070 super for 400. Not a 30 series but times be tough.
every youtuber got one. I see.
EVGA Queue came through for me last week with $389 for the XC Gaming.. not what I wanted but in the current market I couldn't say no.
Same card goes for $1000 here in Australia...
Why does teh fvcking 3060 have 12gb while 3060 ti and 3070 only have 8? Wtf is that.
Man how I want this baby in my hands... 🥺🥺😔😔😔 Can't even buy it right now, it's too overpriced right now!
I'm still using a gtx970. I'm looking to rebuild my i7 - 950. It's so difficult finding a store with everything I need in stock. I'm even tempted to reuse the gtx970 in the new build, but if I do. I fear that I will notice lve lamed my new rebuild with an old card, so was it worth the rebuild effort.
Have a joyful moments Plz dear send me as gift 🎁🙏
Had to buy it from first shipment to Belarus for 950$. There is literally 0 supply of any other RTX GPUs (including 20 series) in the country. Only alternative is 3060Ti for 1500$ (which is totally insane price).
is there something to say, that nvidia/amd wont be able to to deliver the next series at such a great cost per performance jump that the 3000/6000 series did?
I bought a 2060 back in August and it goes for like 500 now. I paid about 310 or something. This is nuts!
NewEgg has gaming machines available with the 3060. Really the only way to get a decent card at a reasonable price is to buy a pre-built system and be willing to pay around $1500 for for the whole system. Or just wait it out. It's probably going to be a long time before demand settles down and supply catches up.
I dont have money to buy anyways😆
Sticking with my GTX970 lol, sure games doesn’t look all pretty but atleast I get some kicks out of it.

Only one month? I thought it was like a year ago, gpu business is eternal now I can't live like this
How governments are not going hard on online retailers to keep scalpers in check including banning accounts. Free market is a garbage idea. Semiconductors should be labelled as a strategic resource and Intel should get MAD backing to fund production in the states.
I’m still pissed I can’t get a new card...
how bout AORUS GeForce RTX™ 3060 ELITE 12G in comparison VS 3080 /3090 VS 2080 TI??? Which one is best and better performance overall? Just trying to figure out which is the best and just buy it and get it over with.
ive been waiting on a backordered 3070 since November. Still havent gotten it......
the vram is for miners, in that respect you are getting more for your money. just my 2 cents. Edit: Since he did at the end he did mention mining, i want to add this, from the perspective of a 7+year crypto miner. The card has 12 gb ram. The DAG used for mineing limits what cards can mine, the dag needs increaseingly large vram reqs. use to be able to mine with 1-2-4 gb cards, but not anymore on alot of miners. and as time goes on the DAG requirements will grow, makeing the vram requirements go up for the card being used to mine to be able to mine at all. The 12 GB of ram ensures the 3060 has enough ram for the next upcoeming gpu/crypto cycle after this one, allowing inventory to catch up Then.
Peace

Finally! TY mate
The 3060 is basically a 1080 Ti as far as performance. $329 is great for that but $529 is not. Chill and wait for a retail price.
Just got an email from EVGA saying I can buy one, now do I keep it or resell? Lol
It’s funny that these were going to be the best price to performance cards, but by the time anyone will be able to get one the next generation will be a couple months away.
Jay thank you!
3060 are now $968 to $1270 in Australia it's a rip off
Glad to have seen this video, thanks.
I got it at a store yesterday same card
That shuffle thing is actually genius. It should combat the PS5 debacle.
QUESTION. I have a rtx 2080 ti and a i5 8600k. I play Total War and Paradox games heavily which are cpu demanding games. Will going from my i5 8600k to a i9 9900k be a significant jump? or should I just wait? I play on a 1080p 144hz monitor.
Im just getting the 12gb for gpu rendering in clarisse
Here it’s fucking $700
You are getting more for your money. The more the better for 3d rendering. The rtx cards are not only for games
What's the name of the music that you guys play when showing the charts?
I’m just chillin with my 1070 until 2030 at this rate
Better to have one than nothing ! (Me and m'y r9 270x, 2014)
Sorry jay, but shuffle is the best... the bots will win if its first come first serve
Message at the end of the day: fuck capitalism
i was gonna buy a 3070, not happening
I bought it for 11000 Czk, that mean about 475 USD. Silent, decent card with combo Ryzen 3600 for my kids.
Wasting a bunch of pockets and getting a huge premium A very big bottleneck RAM that is almost useless in the game. so evil
Not really, VRAM is needed for 3D and ML/AI. E: yeah mfw Nvidia is better for 3D and ML/AI for everything but AMD has proper amount of VRAM -_-
The fuzzy joseph kelly strengthen because font intralysosomally overflow pro a careful angle. wanting, fancy cuban
Got a MSI 3060 a few weeks ago and just picked up a used EVGA 1080 oc today, sad to say i like the 1080 better. i have been building sense i was giving a dell 386 when the 486 pc came out and i have never had to pay so much for a card... 3dfx is turning over in it's grave.
The whole thing is a joke. If nvidia really cared about the consumer they would stop sending the cards out to retailers and only sell from their website at msrp until they could fill demand. Also make the site bot proof.
The shortage is all Artificial, NVIDIA since 2017 claims they don’t ramp up production because Crypto Mining is just a phase and will go out soon. BUT it’s 2021 and ever since 2017 ALL prices of their GPU are inflated in the retail market and demand never subsided. NVIDIA can’t blame the low supply due to miners, it’s been 4 years. NVIDIA is just manipulating price by pumping out LOW SUPPLY. I’ve never seen an NVIDIA Graphics Card sold at it’s MSRP for half a decade now. Shame shame shame on you NVIDIA. Why hasn’t a competitor graphics company give the market what it wants?
Fantastic video! I agree with everything totally the marketing of this card is shit. As a game developer though there is a reason for having more vram. Even if you can't push higher resolutions, other effects such as volumetric cloud data / signed distance fields and gpu particles can take up massive amounts of vram. 12 gb is still overkill though.
Redux has the worst website ive ever seen. Imagine paying for sponsorships when you cant even take an order.
I am now gonna review another 30XX card which you wont be able to buy.
I paid over £650 for my TUF 3060, i dont regret it, because im paying for the availability, not the card. im in dire need of a new card, and cheeky lil secret, my old RX580 sold for £350, so i got it all back anyway, i only paid "300". so who's laughing.
If only everyone saw this video before buying a graphics card
I’m so glad I watch jay2¢ and not Linus sex hips
Can't find these cards anywhere even though I wanted one
The RTX 20 series cards hadn't even had a chance to learn to walk before we got hit with this crap. It's straight up predatory marketing targeted at low information consumers. In truth, the only game in existence that I give a crap about that my 1060 can't run well is Cyberpunk. Oh well, I'll get to it someday but it's not worth any of this bs when I already have a highly functional rig that will serve me well for years yet to come. I trusted NVidia up until this year, I lost trust in AMD after receiving a half functional card years ago that was attributed to a rushed manufacturing process, now I'm sitting here wishing that there was a third option because both of these companies are just run by cheap assholes and liars.
I'll save you some time, IT'S A BRICK! Don't waste your money.
Today, end of March, 2021, the RTX 3060 is available on Amazon Prime for over $1,100. No one gets a wiff of these things at launch, and then the price goes to the moon, and they always blame it on the scalpers. I wonder. If they limited sales to one per order, then everyone should get a chance. They just suddenly turn up at four times MSRP. Man, I smell a humongous freakin' rat here, or a pack of the furry little shits.
Both companies made me finally back out on the new product & I just got the sapphire nitro. It works great and I honestly don't notice a difference. 2k goes great. I'm over this crap. They all screwed us and I'm over hearing everyone's opinions on it. I like you, I mean just generally speaking. Godspeed.
You lost me at free market. What has been happening the last year or so is far from free market my friend.
Current prices are absolutely insane regardless of brand for current gen cards. Want a mid-range GPU for under $300? ... 🤣😅🤣😅🤣😆😅🤣😅😆😅🤣😆🤪 ... Want a mid to high-end graphics card,... for less than $500? ... 🤭😆🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😂🤣🤪 ... Want a graphics card at anything even remotely resembling a decent price? ... Enjoy that used market,... 🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😂😂😂🤣😅😅🤪

Or as I call it, the weak ps5 without a case! Or a cpu! Or a mobo! Or the amazing games!
Still using my 1080ti OC here...
I'd rather keep my MSI 2070 Tri FROZR.
*holds a gpu in hand* Says - I can't get a gpu
Why did you buy a non-official NVIDIA gpu? That brand is only a variant of the original. I don’t trust other brands after trying out NVIDIA’s gpu. It is essential to have the best parts possible per model of NVIDIA gpu. Especially if one considers the idea of selling the gpu later.
just got a rtx 3060
Where the hell did you find even that card for 380$
I find rtx 3060s for the price of $810 to $850 sadly here in South Korea
I bought one for 500 bucks and its really perfect for full hd gaming. Its even good for mining. 105 w at 46 mh eth. 97 fps at extreme setting and a slight oc in odyssey
I was lucky enough to get an Asus Strix 3060 today at Canada Computers today at the store near me. I know this was a bad review but I currently have an RX-570 and I recently got an Oculus Quest 2 VR headset and I needed to upgrade in order to stream VR games. I decided to build a new computer and my biggest problem was getting a decent graphics card upgrade. I asked if there was a list you could be added to for video cards and they let me know that they had just got a few 3060 cards in. I decided to buy the Asus Strix 3060. When I tried to pay for it the salesman had a problem trying to sell it to me because, apparently the card had been sold to a bot. He was pissed, and I think the sales staff was fed up with the fact that bots were scooping up cards and not giving anyone else a chance. He was determined to get me the card because I was physically there and he offered it to me at the time. He cancelled a bot order so I could buy it. I had to wait for about a half hour, which I understand because the demand is so insane that there are constant orders for anything remotely decent. Eventually I was able to buy the card. It will be a pretty good upgrade for me. I super appreciate that the staff worked extra hard for me to get this card than rather give it to a miner. Much respect for my local Canada Computers store, at least the staff I dealt with.
so rtx 2060 super basically rtx 3060, wtf
Stores in Australia are selling it for $850 AUD, the equivalent of $630 USD
Video card upgrade is simply halted for the next 2 years or until rich people will stop inflate a balloon called bitcoin. CPU/motherboards/RAM might follow soon. I really hope I'll not be right and hope to have the chance to build my PC, but I doubt things will go otherwise.
I got a 3060 eagle for msrp and im really happy
3:59 prevents bots...
I think the Newegg shuffle is a pretty good way to go about it, it means less pain logging in early or late or at a specific time wasting your time to maybe get a graphics card. Also, it evens the playing field for those who don’t have the time to continually click refresh in hopes of beating bots to buy products. Less overall wasted time between everyone.
i actually got ahold of one today on NZXT BLD i highly recommend it if you are fine with paying a little extra for service fee , got the 3060 for $400 on it

My Cyberpower PC Master Gamer came with a 3060 :D
WHERE'S TRUMP? Nvidia need's to be made great AGAIN!
Picked a great time to get into PC building... I just wanna play space engineers D:
Has a 3060 asus tuff as of today
these things are like $2000 where i am :C
Jay. They even more expensive here. A good rtx 3060 (standard) costs from 720 to more than a bit of 800 euros
I’ve got asus 3060. Slow for games, mines really well.

Machine Mechine no it’s slow man I’ve got over a dozen models of Gpu you would find in gaming rigs today and on diff boards, diff ram, high to low end cpu. We build PCs for gaming, workstation, schools apparently now( I don’t know details) and at current prices it’s hard to recommend a 3060 for anything but mining (if your using 470.05 and we don’t do mining rigs but do recommend it as a way to offset higher costs off the record) I do hear you and 1060 6g, 2060S were probably 80 percent of builds until late last summer. edit: basically only had access to 3060 tuf but it’s lackluster if you normalize pricing. As always there are no bad parts only bad prices. AMD 6800+ is starting to look tastier every day 6800xt is going in my personal rig and 3060ti it’s replacing will pay for it.

Most of the kids just starting to build computers use 60 series. Also most standard PC gaming rigs uses 60 series. It's a 3060 RTX, there isn't anything slow about it. 2060 RTX & up will shoot out 2160p 30Hz to 45Hz maybe. Somewhere in there. But I get the feeling it all runs faster in 1080p even though the display is 2160p. It's basically having a game run like it's a Bluray movie. You know, looks good enough to play. I don't know. I'll have to think about it. Usually we just max out resolution, but the whole 4K thing threw us a curve ball I think. Cause 2160p is 8 times as many pixels, and it just doesn't add all that much to the picture.
that vram matters to mine ethereum, they talk about gamers, but they build for miners

3GB in 2012 for SKY/BF3 1080p 60Hz. 2020 we upgrade to 2160p, it's 4 times the size. 4 times the ram keeps the benchmark from 2012 on the 60 series for entry level and standard power PC gamers. Should be $200. Bouncing in the $350 range. Titanium in the $400. Pushes us into the used market, and back down to 1080p gaming. It's not a bad thing. We are entry level and standard power. Not much money to spend on computer parts. That's the normal market, but it's just much larger now. Nobody wants the 60 series though. It's only the people like me that don't get very much money.
12 GB is real good for 3D productivity software like rendering software.
Hey Jay how did the Covid hit you how bad did you feel from it?
I got the 3060 from a prebuilt, but my dream card is a 3060ti or 3070
understand the rage, but don't shoot at the card, this is true for a lot of silicon chip. I really don't like to play the scalpers' game, but needed one now and paid 1300$ for a founders ed. Welcome to silicon capitalism free market era
Actually had a guy I know who was so proud that he had "upgraded" his 1080ti to a 3060. I didn't have the heart to tell him...

So I should keep my 1080 ti for a couple more years?? I'm a pc noob looking for advice.
fuck scalpers, yes, but let's not pretend that stock would be hard to come across even if everyone only bought one.
Thank god I got a 3070 at msrp 😅
My salty review of trying to build a pc March 2021
First come first serve doesn’t work right now when they’rs scalping bots that are “first come” thousands of times over blocking anyone else from getting served.
Redux charging over 1000 for a 3060 yeah no markup LOL
